Belle | Deluxe High School Senior Portraits

WOW it’s been a hot minute since i’ve done a blog post, and what better way to start again than by doing a blog post about the gorgeous Belle and at the same sharing some new and exciting news!!

As you guys may know, I am mostly well known for my college senior portraits, but I excited to announce that I finally decided to branch out to High School Seniors as well! HS Seniors have their very own separate gallery where you can check out my work, and a separate  pricing guide (underneath my college seniors) !

Belle & I did the Deluxe HS package- this is when we do a 1-2 hour session outdoor + 1-2 hour session in studio. The best part about this package is that each senior can customize their session however they prefer!

For example, Belle wanted more of a fashion feel to her session and we both collaborated on inspiration and looks for the shoot and I am IN LOVE with the results! If you know me, you know that I LOVE a good fashion/beauty look and I was so happy that she wanted something like that- but after talking it over it was clear that this wasn’t going to be a 2 background/2 outfit kind of deal with her studio session, so we customize the pricing to her needs and wants!

We ended up splitting the session in two days because what she wanted was not going to be possible in one sitting- which is where the customizable aspect comes into play. You can decide if you want to do your 2 hr outdoor session + your 2 hr indoor session in one day or if you want to split it into two days!

Since our session, Belle has decided to attend Texas A&M University (WHOOOP!) and she will be attending Mays Business School- I guess some people can really have it all; be beautiful and smart!

I could talk all day about how amazing our session was, but I think I am just going to let the photos talk for themselves! Which one’s are your favorite? The outdoor or studio ones?

Coco Rocha Modeling Camp

The first blog of the year HAD to be of my time in Coco Rocha Modeling Camp 30. It’s been a hot minute since my time at camp, but I wanted to wait a bit after the holiday madness to publish these photos and really give it the time and attention it deserved.

2019 was by far the most challenging year of my life, my small business grew a lot, but my personal life was slowly becoming more and more chaotic. I applied to the camp on a whim, not thinking that I would get it, as Coco had to review your work and approve of you personally. I thought “there is NO WAY that she will accept me, but let me give it a shot!” The minute I heard back from them accepting me into the program, I was shocked and I may or may not have screamed lol.

The camp is a 3-day training and living with Coco, 20 other models and another female photographer in NYC where we got to learn the in’s-and-out’s of the Fashion industry, building your portfolio, social media marketing and most importantly, POSING.

Posing class was by far my favorite and the most fun. At the begging you feel silly and you are too much in your head, but once you get into it, it is so much fun! I learned so many new techniques and poses, which you guys will eventually get to see in my future shoots ;)

Day 3 was definitely my favorite, this is where the models got to apply everything that they have learned with Coco and I got to shoot Coco.

Shooting Coco was a once in a life-time experience and one that I will never forget. I got to talk to Coco, during which she reviewed my portfolio and told me what I was missing and what I needed to work on, for which we planned. I was missing more dynamic and active posing in my portfolio, it was a lot of the same stuff over and over again. During our shoot, she focused on giving those dynamic and incredible shots. I got to stylize her and direct Coco (which is mind boggling.

The amazing thing about Coco, is not only that she’s a world-renowned model, she is also an incredibly kind person, a mother and a teacher. She teaches the models (and photographers), the in’s and out’s of the industry, gives you confidence and gives you the tools you need for a career in the modeling/fashion industry.

Since the camp, I now have more confidence in my photography, but most importantly I feel more confident in posing and guiding my models and have seen a clear improvement, thus giving them a boost of confidence!

Till next time!

Hector + Shylee- Engagement Session

I had a blast meeting and photographing H&S, they are so adorable and cute together. The session was originally going to be in Downtown Houston, but Shy decided to change it to Caroline Creek Christian Camp in Huntsville because that is where they met. How freakin’ cute is that?!? I always love whenever a couple chooses a location that has a meaning to them or their relationship!

They met last year while working at the Summer Camp together and Shy knew that Hector liked her but he wouldn’t admit it, and doesn’t that sound like a romantic novel?!? Ugh so cute! The camp was gorgeous, and you can tell from these pictures that this location holds a special place in their hearts.

They radiate so much joy, and love about each other it’s super adorable that his mom (shoutout to my girl Fatima, she’s the best) and I had to stop them from kissing each other too much! They’re so in love and it’s amazing to witness it. I’m so glad that I got to meet these two wonderful people and wish nothing but the best for them and their upcoming summer wedding!
