Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo 2018 Internship

As some of you may know, I graduated from Texas A&M University this past December (WHOOP!). As most recent college graduates, I had no clue what to do with my life post-grad (I had some major back flashes of that corny Alexis Bledel movie) so I decided to apply for an internship at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, thinking that there is no way I was going to get it, but by some miracle I got it.

For those of you who do not know, The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™ promotes agriculture by hosting an annual, family-friendly experience that educates and entertains the public while supporting Texas youth, and provides year-round educational support within the community.

This month-long internship is perhaps the best and hardest thing I have ever done. Not only did I get to do what I went to college for (Agricultural Communications & Journalism), I also got to do what I love every day, and every day was something different!

I wanted to share with everyone some of my favorite shots from my time at the rodeo and say a HUGE thank you to my amazing boss, Brooke Prather, without her kindness and eternal patience this experience wouldn’t have been as memorable and I wouldn’t have learned everything that I did from the Communications and Digital Marketing industry.
